SIGHT Magazine
August 22, 2020
So excited to share the launch of Issue 002 of SIGHT - a bi-annual magazine published in Germany and inspired by the culture and lifestyle of the global Porsche community that offers a unique view on the people behind it, the cars and everything that makes this scene so special.
I had the opportunity to contribute some of my work and more importantly the thought and inspiration behind it, where and how it all started and why creativity makes me happy.
When SIGHT's editor Tom Gaedtke contacted me initially about this opportunity of sharing a portfolio and talking about it, I shied away a bit and passed along some other names who really only shoot cars, thinking that because I love cars - and Porsche in particular - but shoot so many other things besides cars I wasn't the right fit. But kindly he persisted and I am truly glad that he did because the process of organizing my thoughts around why I do what I do was profoundly interesting and helped me to connect so many dots in my life, some that I didn't fully realize even existed. It was an exercise of challenge, discovery and . . . eventually pleasure (it took me about a month and thankfully Tom was very patient). What follows is the result of a solid team effort between myself and SIGHT.
While this is only Issue 002 (and Issue 001 was amazing in its own right), I can say with sincerity that the passion for the brand, for community and for art that the individuals and team behind this publication are manifesting is truly remarkable. There are pretentious Porsche magazines, there are cheap and disposable Porsche magazines and then there is SIGHT.
BRAVO!
